Staff Report
Columbus
North used strength in the relay races to crack the top ten Saturday in the
IHSAA Girls’ Swimming finals in Indianapolis. The Bull Dogs scored points in
all three relays, including a sixth in the 200 Medley Relay, to score 86
points. That was good for tenth in the competition. Columbus also received points from Myra
Retrum who scored in both the 100 Breastroke and the 100 Butterfly, and Kristin
Vandever who accounted for points in the 200 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle.
Bloomington
South was the only other conference team to dent the scoreboard. The Panthers
finished 32nd with 11 points. They earned those points when Casey
Papp finished eighth in the 100 Butterfly.
